Hey someone else who also agrees with me about histograms and highlight clip monitor on cameras.

What Does It Mean To Be A “Good Photographer”

Just spotted this video on You Are Not A Photographer. It’s an advertisement for a new consumer camera advertised with the tag line “You Don’t Have to Be a Good Photographer to Take Good Photos”. It depicts a buy standing in front of an audience showing photographs he took on a projector. Various audience members keep asking him about the camera settings which he usually responses obviously not knowing what they’re talking about.

The thing I was thinking was as I watched it was “Hey his pictures are pretty good”. If he wasn’t being asked camera setting questions people would have thought he was a good photographer. Isn’t that the whole point of photography? To end up with good pictures?

I wonder if anyone else has any different opinions?
